POCSO SEMINAR

A Seminar was conducted for teachers on 16 September 2023, BY: Ms.TANMAY ANAND Facilitation Co-ordinator Bachpan – Save the innocence. Bachpan – Save the innocence is an organization working on child Sexual abuse for the past three years. Ms. Tanmay Anand has been a part of the organization and has delivered more than 35 sessions to various stakeholders like children, parents, teachers, working professionals and youth. Almost 75 participants were there for the seminar which included Sister Principal, other sisters and All the teachers of Pre primary, Primary and secondary. The session was for 2 ½ hour. The session was to guide the teachers the ways to Handle Child Sexual Abuse. Ms. Tanmay discussed the following points. - She clearly helped the teachers to understand the Do’s and Don’ts while handling a case of Child Sexual Abuse. - To always find out from the children their safe circle. - Not to use the term Good and bad touch instead, make the children aware of Safe and Unsafe touch. - To identify Physical or Behavioural change in a child. - How to respond if such cases come. – listen to the child, Believe, do not interrogate, Do not make fake promises. Overall the session was very interactive and informative.
