The students of St. Anthony Secondary School celebrated maths week with great enthusiasm. The event was organised from 4 December to 8 December 2023. The aim was to help build self confidence and strengthen problem skills in this vital subject area by incorporating art integrated learning and making maths creative and interesting. The following programmes were organised. The students of class 2 used different 2D and 3D shapes as their props and displayed a very beautiful poem on Shapes. The students of class 3 depicted a small skit on the topic Importance of zero.They made us realize that though zero has no value but maths is nothing without zero. The students of class 4 performed role play on different units of metric measures and stated various examples from daily life. The students understood the importance of metric measure in our daily life. The students of class 5 depicted different yoga poses showing the formations of different angles . They also explained about point, line ,line segment and ray. The students of class 6 asked various riddles based on daily life. The students of class 7 and 8 presented speech about various mathematicians like Ramanujan etc. The students of class 9 prepared a skit on the topic maths in real life. They showcased their talent in various aspects of maths. The students of class 10 showed their talent and thinking skills by a maths quiz. Various class activities were also conducted during this week. Class 4&5: Maths Mania(Quiz) Class 6: Landscape designing competition Class 7: Comic Strip designing competition Class 8: Maths with an art integration competition. It was really amazing to witness the enthusiasm and knowledge displayed by our fellow children. These activities not only reinforced mathematical concepts but also fostered teamwork and collaboration.
