Workshop on E-Cigarette and drug abuse

St. Anthony's Secondary School organised the workshop on E-cigarette and drug abuse for 9th and 10th standard students on 2nd August 2023 The workshop began with the presentation on how the brain is getting affected and damaged day by day by the intake of drugs and vape. A poem was delivered by Tanishk Sharma on the topic "Nasha Mukti" highlighting the negative side effect of drug usage. The students were made aware of the consequences of E-Cigarette and drugs. An oath ceremony was held and student pledged to say "NO" to any kind of drugs. A short skit, titled "SAY NO TO DRUGS" was presented by the students of class 9th. Through this poem, skit and PPT the students of class 9th showed the condition and situation how addiction enters or takes place in normal and healthy life routine. The students of class 9th prepared and practiced the skit under the guidance of Mrs. Neeti Massey, special educator and counsellor and Mrs. Savita Sharma, the art teacher. The skit ended with examples of how addiction of drug and vape ruins our life. A small quiz was conducted at the end of the session to access the students understanding of the topic. The workshop was concluded on a positive note.
